Where does the conference take place?
We will meet at Utah Valley University for a pre-trip meeting and to carpool to our destination. We will be spending the majority of three days at the Capitol Reef Field Station within the Park. 

Who can go to the workshop?
This initiative is geared toward K-12 educators in and around Utah. However, anyone interested is welcome to register to attend.

Can I receive Continuing Education Credit?
Yes! After paying the course fee, successful completion of the conference and associated assignments, you will receive a certificate for 2 Continuing Education Units through USBE. You must sign up through MIDAS prior to leaving for the conference; our course number is 50630.

How Should I Prepare Beforehand?
Other than checking the weather and making sure you have appropriate personal gear, you should also read the selected excerpts. It is expected that you read the required texts before leaving to the conference. We will be discussing the text in several workshops so please read this prior to leaving.

How are we getting there?
We will be meeting at Utah Valley University’s Motor Pool that Friday at 4:00 pm for departure. We will be carpooling in University vehicles to and from the field station. You can get dropped off at our meeting location or park your personal vehicle at the university during the duration of the conference.

What expectations are there for participants?
We expect you to be a fully functioning member of the team. We will cook, clean, hike and discuss to further one another. Please read the required text before attending and be ready and willing to participate in all workshops and outings.

How many attendees will there be?
Due to the available lodging at the Capitol Reef Field station there will be a maximum of 16 attendees plus faculty and student leaders.
